ear Class:

Today, I want to continue to look at transitioning to GameMaker 8.0. GameMaker 8.0 is already loaded, although you may have to go to the C drive to load it. The first tutorial consists of:

There are two that are beginner level:

The Scrolling Shooter and the Maze game Either one is beginner. I had another shooter game but it was advanced and I found out you need Game Maker Pro to use it (It has 3D included in it).

There are sounds and icons as well as samples are on the YoYo Games Site. They are in compressed form and I am not sure if 7-up or another decompression software is available. I will have the folders available on "My network places", "View workgroup computers", and then "Green-Hite" computer. It will be in the only shared folder. Only nine students can be on it at a time so I suggest copying the folder to your student folder and then disconnect off of mine.

You did a really good job last time on the Islands and the plane.

We will see how we do!

Review for the final: It will consist of writing a C++ and a Visual Basic program that will be similar to other programs that we ran. You may print out a C++ program, like "Calculator" that has most of the formula and then print out a Visual Basic program such as "Multiplier". You can use these on the final!

Sincerely,
Mr. Green-Hite
