Dear Class:
We are finished with Chapter Four. I will have a test on it the beginning of class on Friday, just to give you notice...
We will do the "Grades" together and you will do the 'Sales Tax' and 'Wages' sample programs on your own (any two of them). It will be two programs that are similar to those two. The majority of you only did one of them. I also did not get "Grades" from a lot of you. I will give you the first half hour to finish these off and to check your grades to see what you did not do
There is a good source of tutorials at http://www.vbtutor.net/ that I want to look at.
We will, hopefully, work on the first lesson of the tutorial at the website
Lesson 1 has us just do a simple button. In lesson 2, we will do a simple calculator. The next lessons are old friends. Lesson 3 talks about properties, including color schemes and naming of the window. Lesson 4 talks about object oriented program "OOP" and Lesson 5 speaks of writing the code. Lesson 6 refreshes our minds about managing data (integers, etc. that we have seen before) and then Lesson 7 is about Mathematical Operations in which you will all do the "BMI" calculator. I hope to get the first button done today...
